Azerbaijan sentences abducted Armenia soldiers to 11.5 years

The authorities of Azerbaijan have sentenced abducted Armenian servicemen Harutyun Hovakimyan and Karen Ghazaryan to 11.5 years in prison, the Azerbaijani media report.
The respective judicial farce, comprising just one or two court sessions, was held in the Sumgait city court.
The court ruled that Hovakimyan and Ghazaryan be sentenced to 11.5 years in prison.
The prosecution, however, had asked for 12 years.
These Armenian soldiers were abducted by an Azerbaijani sabotage team in May—and from the territory of Armenia.
