Telephone conversation between J. Bayramov and K. Donfrid

A telephone conversation took place on Monday between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried.
During the telephone conversation, the sides exchanged views on the situation in the region, including efforts to normalize relations, issues on the bilateral agenda, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reports.
With reference to the meeting held on August 31 in Brussels between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, head of the Council of the European Union Charles Michel and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, following which the Foreign Ministers of the two countries were instructed to prepare draft texts of the peace agreement, Bayramov declared Baku's readiness for this initiative.
Azerbaijan is taking consistent steps to promote the peace agenda, Bayramov added.
During the telephone conversation, the sides also exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, as well as other topics of mutual interest.
Bayramov and Donfrid agreed to continue bilateral contacts.
