Nikol Pashinyan Pashinyan confirmed that the "Soviet" border would be restored between Armenia and Azerbaijan Politics

Armenia and Azerbaijan are carrying out delimitation on the basis of Soviet borders, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Friday in his video message to the people, commenting on the situation behind the Zod (Seyudlu) gold deposit in Kalbajar.
He said that the process is taking place within the framework of the November 9 agreement. Pashinyan once again noted that in the situation in which the document was signed, there was simply no other way. Any other option would be much worse, the prime minister said, while simultaneously asking himself why the situation had reached a critical point.
According to him, "the border is determined not by eye, but by GPS coordinates." He acknowledged that the gold mine is partly in Armenia and partly in Azerbaijan.
"Delimitation, according to the prime minister, is a complex process that must take place with the participation of the Azerbaijani side," he added.
