Issue on deploying peacekeepers in Nagorno Karabakh not discussed: Russia’s ambassador

The issue of deployment of peacekeepers in Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone was not discussed at the meeting with Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan, Russia’s ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin said.
“It was not discussed today at the meeting with the PM,” he said.
Kopirkin said that Pashinyan gave his assessments to the ongoing developments and thanked OSCE Minsk Group and Russia’s President for the efforts in establishing ceasefire.
“The Russian side is doing everything possible for the ceasefire to work. Active efforts are being undertaken by Russia’s diplomacy and Russia’s president Vladimir Putin personally for cessation of hostilities. We are in touch with all the parties,” he said.
The ambassador said that Russia’s position is immediate cessation of hostilities and return to the table of negotiations for having substantial talks under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group.
