Georgia and NATO to Conduct Joint Exercises

From April 28 to May 8, 2025, large-scale command-post exercises involving NATO forces will be held in Georgia at the Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC) in Krtsanisi.
According to the Italian embassy in Tbilisi, the maneuvers aim to showcase the potential of JTEC and assess the combat readiness of a multinational brigade, the core of which consists of Georgian servicemen. The exercises will involve military personnel from several NATO countries, including Azerbaijan, Albania, Bulgaria, France, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Turkey, and the United States. Armenia will participate as an observer.
Meanwhile, in November 2024, Georgia's Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze emphasized that the country’s integration into NATO and the European Union remains a key priority. According to her, Georgia continues its "irreversible path" toward Euro-Atlantic integration, as outlined in Article 78 of the Georgian Constitution. In this context, relations with NATO and the EU will remain top priorities for Tbilisi. These exercises mark an important step in strengthening Georgia’s military cooperation with NATO, highlighting the country’s aspiration for further integration into Western structures.
