U.S. Investigates Reports Of Vandalism At Turkish House in New York — State Department

The State Department said on Monday that it has seen these reports of vandalism at the Turkish House in New York City, and that the Diplomatic Security Service is investigating the incident, TURAN's Washington correspondent reports.
Windows at the Turkish House in Manhattan, which also hosts the country's Consulate General to New York, were smashed early Monday morning, a move that coincides with the Turkish elections.
"Violence against diplomatic representatives within the United States is a punishable crime... The State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service is working with local law enforcement authorities," State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller told a daily press briefing, without offering any further detail.
"... It'a matter that remains ongoing, and I think, as will often by the case about investigative matters, I would leave comment to law enforcement – in this case, the New York Police Department," he added.
