EU ambassadors approve fourth package of sanctions against Russia

European Union ambassadors have approved a new package of sanctions against Russia, they will come into force after publication in the Official Journal of the EU, the French presidency of the EU Council said this on Twitter on Monday.
The Committee of Permanent Representatives of EU countries in coordination with international partners has agreed on a fourth package of sanctions, which targets individuals and entities involved in the aggression against Ukraine, as well as several sectors of the Russian economy.
It specifies that the new package of restrictive measures will come into force after the publication of the decision in the Official Journal of the EU.
It also says that the permanent representatives approved a statement to the World Trade Organization (WTO) about Russian aggression against Ukraine, regarding the suspension of the most favored nation clause in relation to Russia, and the suspension of consideration of Belarus' candidacy to the WTO.
