Government Declares Emergency Throughout Ukraine, Extends Quarantine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided yesterday to introduce emergency throughout the country and to extend quarantine to April 24 due to the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The decision was made at a regular government meeting on March 25, according to Hromadske International.
"We are continuing quarantine and introducing emergency in the state of Ukraine throughout the territory for 30 days until April 24, 2020," said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Accordingly, all quarantine restrictions are also extended for 30 days until April 24.
At the same time, the head of government said that if the country can defeat the coronavirus earlier, then the government "will make a separate decision at a Cabinet meeting."
The government has also appointed Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko as head of operations on the consequences of natural state-level medical and biological emergencies.
