Armenia’s PM applies to Russia’s President to determine amount and type of assistance for ensuring Armenia’s security

On October 31 Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed a letter to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin thoroughly presenting the situation created as a result of Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh and the challenges created as a result.
The letter particularly underlined the circumstances of deployment of foreign armed terrorists from Middle East and their participation in the hostilities against Nagorno Karabakh, Armenia’s MFA said in a statement.
“Taking into consideration that the hostilities near Armenia’s border and the existing facts on encroachments on the territory of the Republic of Armenia, Prime Minister applied to the President of the Russian Federation for urgent consultation with a view of determining the type and amount of assistance the Russian Federation may provide to the Republic of Armenia for ensuring its security based on allied relations between Armenia and Russia and Article 2 of “Agreement on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance” signed on August 29, 1997,” the statement said.
