Azerbaijan: 2020 state budget to be reviewed after government's analysis

Azerbaijani Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov announced the government’s intention to revise the draft 2020 state budget and macroeconomic indicators for the current year, which requires analysis of the situation after quarantine has been relaxed and its forthcoming cancellation is possible, Turan reports.
“Of course, business activity has declined due to the coronavirus pandemic. We are also affected by fluctuations in world oil prices and liabilities to OPEC +. Undoubtedly, the GDP of Azerbaijan, as well as the revenues and expenditures of the state budget will be reduced, but we do not want to rush to forecasts on these issues,” the Finance Minister said to the press.
