Russian Defense Ministry to reduce military activity in directions of Kiev and Chernigov

The Russian Defense Ministry has decided to drastically reduce its military activity in the directions of Kiev and Chernigov, statement by the ministry informs.
The statement followed Russian-Ukrainian talks in Istanbul, which was read out by Russian Deputy Defense Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin, TASS reports.
"Due to the fact that the negotiations on the preparation of the Treaty on the Neutrality and the Nuclear-Free Status of Ukraine, as well as on the provision of security guarantees to Ukraine are moving to the practical plane, taking into account the principles discussed during today's meeting, the Russian Defense Ministry in order to increase mutual trust and create necessary conditions for further negotiations and achieve the ultimate goal - the agreement and signing of the above-mentioned treaty - it was decided to radically, in times reduce military activity in the Kiev and Chernigov," he said.
