President Zelensky: Coronavirus Response Fund set to reach $2.43 bln

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said the Coronavirus Response Fund will amount to UAH 66 billion UAH ($2.43 billion)
"I'd like to note the important initiatives by Government to amend the state budget," Zelensky said in a video address posted on the page of the President’s Office on Facebook.
"The Coronavirus Response Foundation will amount to UAH 66 billion. The money will serve toward a significant increase in payments to medics fighting COVID-19, as well as the procurement of medical equipment and hazmat gear required, payments to citizens of Ukraine, who, due to quarantine, unfortunately, lost their jobs," the president said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the parliament at its extraordinary meeting April 13 will consider draft amendments to the 2020 state budget.
