Zakharova says Azerbaijani military drills do not pose risks to stability and security

Azerbaijani military exercises do not pose risks to stability and security in the region, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova noted.
All states of the South Caucasus conduct military exercises on a regular basis. Relevant information is communicated to stakeholders in advance. According to our data, these exercises are of a planned nature, aimed at improving the combat training of troops and do not pose risks to stability and security in the region, she said.
As reported earlier, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces will hold large-scale operational-tactical drills with the participation of 10,000 soldiers on March 15-19. They will involve about 100 units of tanks and other armored vehicles, up to 200 rocket and artillery installations of various calibers, multiple launch rocket systems and mortars, up to 30 units of military aviation, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes.
