Former Artsakh army chief to head Armenia’s Military Oversight Service

Former Commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Lieutenant-General Jalal Harutyunyan has been appointed Head of the Military Oversight Service of Armenia’s Defense Ministry, the press service of the ministry reported on Thursday.
He will replace Colonel-General Movses Hakobyan, who submitted resignation on November 18 last year.
Jalal Harutyunyan was dismissed as Artsakh army chief after being wounded in the 44-day war in fall 2020.
