Church discusses possibility of applying to Pope Francis for return of Armenian captives – Catholicos

The church is exerting efforts to promote the return of the captives, Armenia’s Catholicos Karekin II told the reporters in Yerablur today.
“We are discussing the issue of applying to Rome Pope and undertake proper steps in that direction,” he said.
He said they are condemning the desecration of churches in the occupied territories and are exerting efforts for the international community to condemn it too.
“We express our gratitude to the authorities of the Russian Federation and the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church for the assistance thanks to which Dadivank continues its mission today,” Karekin II said.
