12 prisoners returned to Azerbaijan, 44 to Armenia, Rustam Muradov (UPDATED)

12 people were transferred to Azerbaijan, said the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Karabakh, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
“In accordance with the trilateral statement of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia November 9, 2020, an exchange of prisoners was carried out on the principle of “all for all ”. This was preceded by a lot of preparatory work with the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides, carried out by Russian peacekeepers, ”Muradov said.
As a result, under his personal control, 12 people were delivered to Baku and transferred to representatives of the Azerbaijani competent authorities by a Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft. The Azerbaijani side returned 44 people to the Armenian side.
Late in the evening on December 14 (23:00 Baku time) a Russian plane landed at the Erebuni airport in Yerevan, which delivered 44 Armenian prisoners of war liberated by Azerbaijan.
Earlier, the "Kalbajar hostages" Dilgam Askerov, Shahbaz Guliyev and another Azerbaijani prisoner of war arrived in Baku by the same plane.
Today Baku and Yerevan announced that they are starting the exchange of prisoners of war and other detainees on the principle of “all for all”.
How many prisoners each side has is not reported. However, the Armenian side admits that there are many times more Armenian prisoners.
